The Isthmus collection is a lovely pairing of 4 - 9x12" screen prints inspired by and reflecting on designer Victor Melendez's Zapotec heritage. They are printed with four spot colors on 100# French Paper True White cover stock.
The set includes all 3 "Isthmus" illustrations, Tehuana, Petatero and Jicalpextle, and a bonus Barro print which is an homage to the famous Black Clay pots made in Oaxaca!
Each print is hand numbered. 50 full sets are available and 50 of each print are available as individuals.

"A print series celebrating my Zapotec heritage. My family comes from the Tehuantepec isthmus, Mexico and these are scenes inspired by that culture. I grew up surrounded by the colorful Tehuana dresses my grandma and aunts wore, the vendors selling their products throughout the streets and the colorful handcrafts made by skilled artisans.
There are three prints in the Isthmus series: Tehuana, Petatero and Jicalpextle. "
